ASSESSMENT OF LEARNING POTENTIAL

Each Assessment of Academic Potential (AAP) is unique as  they are based on a wide range of tests that are selected to match the strengths and needs of the individual child.

 

Age range: 4-11. There are two options: 

  1. Standard Assessment

  2. Enhanced Assessment

 

These are some of the tests that may be included:

  • Tests of cognitive ability

  • Visual perception and processing

  • Auditory memory and processing

  • Fine and gross motor skills

  • Literacy skills

  • Dyslexia screening and assessment protocols

                                 THE PROCESS

Currently this process takes place on-line.

  • 30-45-minute initial consultation with parent to complete detailed child questionnaire. There is no fee for this, other than a registration fee.

  • Standard Assessment: 60-90 minutes 

  • Enhanced Assessment: Minimum of 90 minutes and maximum of 180, which can be split into shorter sections

  • Verbal feedback on the day, with e-mail summary of main points

  • Full report and recommendations sent within 4 weeks

  • Follow up review meeting (1 hour) 12 weeks after report has been sent (If requested)
